The process will differ slightly depending on whether you are having upper or lower eyelid surgery.
Upper eyelid surgery:
- Local anaesthetic.
- Incision created in the crease area above the eyelashes.
- Small sutures are used to close the incision.
Lower eyelid surgery
- Local anaesthetic.
- Incision made from the outer part of the eyelashes.
- The overlapping ‘drooping’ skin is removed during the procedure.
- Small sutures are used to close the incision.
